Job summary

The Manager serves as liaison between the Partner, client, and staff, overseeing multiple audits, budgeting, staff training, and engagement workflow. A CPA license and public-sector audit background are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• At least five years of public accounting experience in the public sector (state/local governments).
• Current and valid CPA license.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of audits/reviews on multiple engagements.
• Maintain client relationships and knowledge of client operations.
• Advise engagement directors/partners on important developments and issues.
• Demonstrate proficiency in technical skills and firm standards.
• Ensure engagements are scheduled properly and budgets tracked.
• Understand and apply the firm's audit approach and standards.
• Create, track, and adhere to budgets; identify scope expansions.
• Lead, train, and review staff; participate in performance evaluations.
• Support business development efforts.
