Progressive regional CPA firm seeks an Audit Director with a State and Local Government specialization for a fast track to partnership. Hybrid work environment with relocation assistance available.

The Director serves as liaison between Partners, clients, and staff, managing multiple audits and engagements, developing staff, and driving new business while upholding firm policies and standards.

Qualificações

• Approximately 10 years' experience in public accounting with 2+ years in a senior manager role in public sector.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Current and valid CPA license.
• Ability to travel to client and firm locations.
• Experience with audits under GAGAS/Yellow Book, GAAS, and the Uniform Guidance.
• Experience bringing in new business for the Firm.
• Exposure to not-for-profit audits.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain year-round client contact and strong relationships across client operations.
• Possess or report to engagement partner on engagements per firm policy.
• Sign attest opinions when acting as engagement partner for assignments.
• Oversee all phases of engagement reporting and client deliverables.
• Update partner on important developments and resolve issues with partner input.
• Ensure engagements are properly scheduled and resourced.
• Serve as subject-matter expert for governmental sector engagements.
• Ensure billing and collections follow firm policy.
• Supervise staff, provide on-the-job training, and review work papers.
• Play a key role in staff performance evaluations and coaching.
• Participate in staff recruitment and interview Assurance/Advisory candidates.
• Act as firm representative in business development and generate referrals.
• Lead initial client contacts, prepare fee estimates, and attend meetings.
• Maintain compliance with all Firm-wide policies and procedures.
