Progressive regonal CPA firm is seeking an Audit Manager with a State and Local Government specialization. This role offers a fast track to Director/Partnership and a reasonable work-life balance within a hybrid work environment. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

The Manager acts as liaison between Partners, clients, and staff, supervising multiple engagements, developing staff, and supporting business development while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• At least five years of experience in public accounting - specifically in the public sector, including auditing state and local governments (i.e., cities, counties, special districts, charter schools, etc.).
• Holds a current and valid CPA license.
• Ability to be a team leader and work as an effective member of a team.
• Proficiency in GAAP and GASB standards.
• Experience with not-for-profit audits and government programs (GAGAS/Yellow Book) is a plus.

• Manage all phases of an audit or review engagement on multiple engagements.
• Maintain contact with clients throughout the year and build strong client relationships.
• Keep engagement Director or Partner informed of important developments and issues.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency and apply professional standards in engagements.
• Ensure engagements are properly scheduled and budgets are tracked.
• Lead, train, and review the work of staff and senior accountants.
• Participate in firm business development efforts.
