Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC seeks an Audit Director with a State and Local Government specialization in the San Jose region. This role offers a hybrid work environment and a fast track to partnership, along with relocation assistance.

The Director will coordinate engagements, coach staff, and drive business development while maintaining strong client relationships and adherence to GAAS, GAGAS, and Uniform Guidance standards.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years' experience in public accounting and a minimum of 2 years in a senior manager position.
• Significant experience auditing state and local government entities.
• Holds a current and valid CPA license.
• Ability to travel to client and firm office locations.
• Demonstrated ability to bring in new business to a CPA Firm.
• Experience with GAGAS/Yellow Book, GAAS, and Uniform Guidance.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between partner, client, and staff to manage multiple audit engagements.
• Lead engagement planning, staffing, and workflow coordination.
• Develop staff and provide on-the-job training and reviews.
• Lead business development and client relationship activities.
• Lead, review, and sign attest opinions as engagement partner when required.
• Ensure timely billing and collection in line with policy.
