Sora Resource Group is seeking an Audit Director with a State and Local Government specialization in the San Francisco area. This leadership role offers a fast track to partnership, a balanced hybrid work environment, and relocation assistance.

The Director will manage multiple engagements, guide staff, and serve as a liaison among partners, clients, and the firm. Responsibilities include overseeing all audit phases, identifying issues, training staff, and leading business development to expand

Formación

• Approximately 10 years' experience in public accounting with strong government audit exposure.
• Minimum 2 years in a senior manager role with leadership responsibilities.
• CPA license required.
• Experience auditing state and local governments (cities, counties, districts, charter schools).
• Ability to travel to client and firm locations.

Responsabilidades

• Liaise between Partner, client, and staff; manage multiple engagements concurrently.
• Oversee engagement planning, staffing, and workflow, ensuring timely client deliverables.
• Sign attest opinions when appropriate and report to partners on engagement status.
• Develop staff, provide on-the-job training, and participate in performance evaluations.
• Lead business development efforts and build a network of client contacts for the firm.
• Maintain compliance with firm policies and external standards (GAGAS/Yellow Book, GAAS, Uniform Guidance).
• Ensure proper billing and collection practices across engagements.
