Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a State and Local Government Affairs Manager for the North/Mid-Atlantic region to advance our government relations efforts across the region. The role focuses on legislative strategy, stakeholder engagement, and policy support for SpaceX and SpaceXSI facilities.

The position requires energy, initiative, and dependability to deliver results reflecting SpaceX’s commitment to rapid and reliable spaceflight advancement and human presence beyond Earth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years in public or government affairs.
• Experience with state/local policy, advocacy, and crisis/issue management.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement with state and local leaders across the designated region.
• Develop, maintain, and build relationships with local officials, lawmakers, and regulators.
• Monitor and analyze local and regional policy developments.
• Perform research as needed, develop policy and collateral materials.
• Support the Director of Government Affairs with statewide government relations priorities.
