Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a State and Local Government Affairs Manager to advance its government relations strategy across the North and Mid-Atlantic region. The role concentrates on legislative leadership, stakeholder engagement, and policy support for SpaceX and SpaceXSI facilities, with travel to onsite locations as needed.

You will build networks with local officials, monitor policy developments, and collaborate with the Director of Government Affairs to drive measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years in public or government affairs, including state/local policy, advocacy, and crisis/issue management.
• Experience with government affairs at scale and stakeholder engagement across diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement with state and local leaders across the designated North/Mid-Atlantic region to support SpaceX priorities.
• Develop and maintain a network of relationships with local government officials, lawmakers, and regulatory decision-makers.
• Monitor and analyze local and regional policy developments relevant to SpaceX.
• Prepare policy analyses and collateral materials to advance company priorities.
• Support the Director of Government Affairs with statewide government relations priorities as needed.
