Job summary

IDOH is seeking a State Lead Specialist to support lead exposure case management across Indiana. The role focuses on data collection, education, surveillance support and coordination with local health departments and healthcare agencies.

You will assist case managers, monitor case statuses, and ensure accurate entry of lead results while handling multiple counties. Local candidates must interview in person; travel is limited but reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate with professionals and non-professionals.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills across multiple counties.
• Bachelor's degree required; relevant health or public safety background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead case managers and program manager in investigating and supporting families affected by lead exposure.
• Monitor and enter data in the state's case management system.
• Audit and follow up on non-confirmed cases and ensure timely status updates.
• Enter and review lead results; address reporting issues in IDOH systems.
• Coordinate quarterly testing report reviews and track case management queues.
• Assist daily processes including system approvals and lead result entry.
