Job summary

HireITPeople is seeking a team-focused professional to assist Indiana's lead exposure surveillance program. This in-person role supports state case managers, coordinates with local health departments, and helps manage lead-related data throughout the state.

Responsibilities include tracking non-confirmed cases, entering lead results, and auditing case data. Local candidates should be available for on-site work and travel as needed in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations relating to lead (heavy metal) and healthy homes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe software; comfortable with webinar/conference tools.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Support state case managers on non-confirmed cases. Track these cases in the state's case management system ensuring local health departments are opening, updating, and closing cases as appropriate.
• Audit non-confirmed cases and make suggestions to follow-up on, or close, cases as appropriate.
• Enter and monitor lead results that are reported to the State.
• Investigate reporting issues, invalid results, questionable entries into IDOH systems including CHIRP, LDF, NBS, etc.
• Participate in quarterly testing report reviews with case managers to identify any trends or issues that they need to address.
• Monitor and address tasks related to case management queues (including document review, approval, and closure).
• Track required fields for confirmed cases (i.e. case status, home visit, nutritional & developmental assessment, risk assessments) and coordinate with staff if missing or incomplete.
• Assist, as needed, with providing backup support on required daily processes including system approvals, fax receipt, and lead result entry.

• Position will require limited travel that will be reimbursed. Please confirm the resource has transportation available to perform this requirement

Assist the three lead case managers and program manager in investigating, monitoring and supporting families affected by lead exposure throughout the state.

Role Summary: This role focuses on data collection, entry, education, surveillance support and coordination with local health departments and other healthcare agencies. The role completes many of the day-to-day tasks required to ensure local health departments can actively manage cases of lead poisoned children throughout the state.
