Newrest seeks a Transportation Manager in San Diego to lead and develop a high-performing transportation team, including dispatch, drivers, and support staff. You will ensure safe, timely deliveries while upholding quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in operations, logistics, or related field.
• 5–10 years in inflight catering or airport hub environment, manufacturing, logistics, or food industry managing 100+ non-exempt employees.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and manages the work of all employees in all areas of the department, including dispatch, drivers, helpers, supervisors, admin staff, and general workers.
• Motivate and inspire team members to perform above expectations through recognition methods and programs.
• Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed by Newrest and client requirements.
• Communicate effectively with all crew members and team members.
• Hold team members accountable for all expectations.
• Ensure compliance with government regulatory standards (FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HACCP).
• Investigate and complete incidents/accidents documentation.
• Observe service operations, ensure ramp/AOA safety and security rules are followed.
• Provide solutions to problems during transportation, unloading, or other processes.
• Enforce safety processes and legal requirements for transportation and other processes.
• Organize regular audits and set up corrective action plans.
• Perform fleet maintenance and ensure safety maintenance.
• Be diligent, punctual, and reliable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Facilitate IMS-related resources and capabilities; uphold environmental and social responsibility.
