Job summary

Ashton North LLC is seeking an experienced Production Control & Materials Assistant Manager to lead production planning, material management, inventory control, and start-up support for a new manufacturing facility. This role will collaborate with production, purchasing, warehouse, and operations to align schedules with demand and capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience considered.
• 5+ years in production control, material planning, inventory management, or manufacturing operations.
• Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of production scheduling, MRP, and inventory control.
• Hands-on ERP/MRP experience; SAP and MES experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, production reporting, and data analysis.
• Ability to coordinate multiple operational priorities across departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily and weekly production schedules based on demand, material availability, and capacity.
• Coordinate material planning and availability to support uninterrupted operations.
• Monitor production performance and adjust schedules to minimize disruptions.
• Analyze production and inventory data to identify inefficiencies and improvements.
• Provide direction to production control and materials staff; ensure procedures are followed.
• Support start-up activities and development of SOPs and workflows.
• Monitor on-time shipments and maintain inventory accuracy across WIP, raw materials and finished goods.
