Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks an experienced Startup I&C Lead to manage commissioning and startup of I&C systems on a major gas turbine project. The role begins in Reston, VA, with mobilization to Pecos, TX for long-term field assignment, and requires coordinating with electrical and mechanical teams and client representatives.

The candidate will plan, execute and supervise testing, commissioning, and initial operation, ensuring alignment with Bechtel standards and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and relevant experience with large-scale power projects.
• Experience delivering commissioning for complex CSU systems and associated subsystems.
• Knowledge of startup, commissioning, and initial operation of I&C systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate startup-related engineering, construction, and client activities.
• Direct preparation of operations manuals and testing procedures.
• Execute planning for scope, plans, procedures, schedules and budgets.
• Set up progress reporting and lead proactive course corrections.
• Supervise and mentor startup engineers to meet project milestones.
