Job summary

Bechtel seeks a CSU I&C Specialist for the Combined Cycle Gas Turbine project in Cheyenne, WY. You will assist in startup, commissioning, and initial operation of I&C systems, coordinating with electrical and mechanical teams to complete testing from component level to integrated facility operations.

The role requires leading commissioning activities, planning and executing startup scopes, and ensuring compliance with Bechtel standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field or international equivalent.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years total experience on large-scale power projects.
• Experience delivering combined cycle power facilities and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate startup-related engineering, construction, and client activities at the jobsite.
• Assist in preparing operations manuals and commissioning procedures.
• Plan scope, schedules, procedures, and budgets for assigned work.
• Set up progress reporting and regular reviews with the team.
• Develop and evaluate discipline plans and criteria for project activities.
• Interpret new regulations, codes, standards, and performance data in the specialty.
• Supervise engineers, estimate staffing, schedule work to meet deadlines.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve CSU-related questions.
• Prepare system testing and turnover documentation for commissioning.
• Assist training groups with project material for classroom and on-the-job training.
• Prepare preoperational test procedures and ensure testing per procedures.
• Develop maintenance procedures and schedules post-commissioning.
• Apply industry standards and design criteria to test plans and procedures.
• Perform I&C work per corporate procedures and guidance.
• Maintain strong communication with client management and operations teams.
