Job summary

The Startup I&C Lead at Bechtel is based in Reston, VA and may mobilize to Pecos, TX for a long-term camp. You’ll assist the Commissioning Manager in planning and executing startup, commissioning, and initial operation of I&C systems on a large gas-turbine project in the Renewables & Clean Power portfolio.

Requires 10–13 years (14–17 in lieu) of relevant experience, strong leadership, and expertise in turbine controls, DCS, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Extensive commissioning experience on large power projects.
• Knowledge of CSU core processes and testing procedures.
• Experience with turbine controls and DCS integration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates startup activities with project management and client during office or field startup.
• Directs preparation of operations manuals and test procedures.
• Plans scope, schedules, and budgets for assigned engineering activities.
• Sets up progress reporting and guides the team to milestones.
• Supervises engineers and allocates work to meet deadlines.
• Provides technical advice and resolves questions in the area of expertise.
