Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Startup Electrical Lead for a large data-centre oriented SCGT project. The role starts in Reston, VA and may mobilize to Pecos, TX for long-term field work to support commissioning and early operation of electrical systems.

The candidate will manage electrical CSU activities, coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation and control disciplines, and ensure testing from component level to integrated operation is completed per Bechtel procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years total experience.
• Experience delivering large-scale simple/combined cycle power projects.
• Broad knowledge of regulatory standards and facilities' operations criteria.
• Excellent oral and written communication to present CSU information to management and client.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate startup activities with project management and client teams.
• Prepare operations manuals portions or assist in preparation.
• Plan scope, procedures, schedules, and budgets.
• Develop test plans and procedures per industry standards.
• Lead vendor commissioning activities and manage TA resources.
• Monitor TA time and keep within budget.
