Job summary

Troon is seeking a Part-Time, Seasonal Starter/ Course Advisor/ Practice Partner at Treviso Bay in Naples, FL. You will help ensure a positive guest experience while supporting golf club operations and member services.

Ideal candidates are customer-focused, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The role is seasonal for roughly six months with regular attendance and excellent teamwork. Evening/weekend availability is a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests at the driving range and tee times.
• Manage tee times to keep play on schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and assist with trash disposal.
• Coordinate with Golf Shop and Bag Drop on a regular basis.
• Assist golfers and provide course information and pace of play expectations.
• Follow course policies and perform other duties as assigned.

As an associate of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

General Purpose

Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused in providing superior service.

Essential Duties

• Great Members and guests as they arrive at the driving range for their tee time.
• Manage tee times to ensure Members and guests stay on time teeing off.
• Club cleaners changed as needed with fresh water
• All trash, including back room work area, tee line and golf shop taken to dumpster as needed.
• Communicates with the Golf Shop and Bag Drop on a regular basis.
• Assists golfers when needed.
• Reports all problem situations to the Head Professional in a timely manner.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Supplies guests with scorecards, pencils and other items if needed.
• Advises guests of course conditions and expected pace of play.
• Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license (if driving golf cars or driving range equipment).
• Must have a strong work ethic.
• Must have friendly personality and enjoy working with the public.
• Organized, able to work well in fast paced environment.
• Must have strong customer/guest orientation.
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be dependable.

Physical Demands

• Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands.
• Regularly reaches with hands and arms.
• Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits.
• Able lift up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
• Knowledge about the game of Golf preferred.
