Job summary

Troon, via Esplanade at Rivergrass in Naples, FL, is seeking a Starter/Ranger to deliver friendly, attentive service to members and guests at the driving range and practice areas. This entry‑level role offers growth within a global golf and community management leader.

You will greet guests, help manage tee times, share course information, and support safety and policy adherence in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Training provided; schedule varies by season.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests at the driving range for their tee time.
• Manage tee times to ensure Members and guests stay on time teeing off.
• Maintain cleanliness and supplies as needed.
• Dispose of trash from back areas and tee lines.
• Communicate with the Golf Shop and Bag Drop regularly.
• Assist golfers as needed.
• Report problems to Head Professional promptly.
• Follow safe work practices.
• Provide guests with scorecards and pencils as needed.
• Advise guests of course conditions and pace of play.
• Support course policies and programs as communicated by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

General Purpose

Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused in providing superior service.

Essential Duties

• Great Members and guests as they arrive at the driving range for their tee time.
• Manage tee times to ensure Members and guests stay on time teeing off.
• Club cleaners changed as needed with fresh water
• All trash, including back room work area, tee line and golf shop taken to dumpster as needed.
• Communicates with the Golf Shop and Bag Drop on a regular basis.
• Assists golfers when needed.
• Reports all problem situations to the Head Professional in a timely manner.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Supplies guests with scorecards, pencils and other items if needed.
• Advises guests of course conditions and expected pace of play.
• Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Physical Demands

• Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands.
• Regularly reaches with hands and arms.
• Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits.
• Able lift up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
• Knowledge about the game of Golf preferred.
