Job summary

Hoffman Hydronics, a part of the Hoffman family, is recruiting for a Start-up & Pump Build Technician. This role focuses on field-service startup, commissioning, warranty work, troubleshooting, and training for commercial hydronic equipment.

It also supports Suwanee pump shop duties one to two days per week, with occasional travel to customer sites. Qualified candidates bring 3–5+ years in hydronic systems, diagnostics, and safe repair practices, with strong documentation and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with commercial hydronic systems, boilers, pumps and related equipment.
• Experience with startup, service, repair or warranty support for hydronic systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, control schematics, OEM manuals, and startup checklists.
• Strong safety mindset, documentation, and field communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform factory-authorized startup, commissioning, warranty service, and field troubleshooting.
• Support in-shop pump build and repair when scheduled, including testing and documentation.
• Plan field visits with required tools, parts, manuals, and safety gear.
• Train owner-operators on normal operation, alarms, and basic maintenance.
• Travel locally to customer sites with occasional overnight travel as needed.
