Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Launch Pad Technician for the Starship program on the Night Shift. You will fabricate and install fluid system components, troubleshoot during activation, and support launches with vehicle roll-out and procedures.

The role requires reading schematics, operating heavy equipment, and collaborating with engineers to ensure top-quality systems for a multi-million dollar launch vehicle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 1+ year of professional experience using power tools.
• Associate degree in aerospace technology or equivalent preferred.
• Experience at rocket launch facility and supporting campaigns preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and follow detailed schematics and drawings.
• Experience with fluid and mechanical systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install fluid system components from drawings.
• Install ball valves, check valves and pressure regulators.
• Troubleshoot issues during activation of fluid/mechanical systems.
• Operate forklifts and aerial platforms.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers to ensure high-quality systems.
• Provide daily support to the launch fluids team.
• Assist during launches with vehicle roll out and procedures.
• Assist with post-launch refurbishments and modifications.
