Job summary

SpaceX in Starbase, TX is seeking a Controls Technician (Starship) for night shift to oversee installation, testing, and maintenance of ground-electrical systems.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, wiring racks and junction boxes, troubleshooting with launch engineers, and ensuring safe operation at a launch site; 5+ years of related experience preferred and an associate degree in instrumentation or electrical fields is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 5+ years of experience as a mechanic, technician, electrician, or construction worker.
• Experience with instrumentation such as RTDs, thermocouples, and pressure transducers is preferred.
• Experience at rocket launch facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret planning documents, schematics, datasheets and drawings.
• Adjust, repair, or replace faulty ground hardware and test equipment.
• Fabricate and install parts for launch environments using hand and power tools.
• Lay out and wire electrical ground support equipment for ground systems.
• Collaborate with launch engineers to troubleshoot failures during launches.
