Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install and maintain the Starship test stand's electrical, mechanical, and fluid systems. The role involves hydraulics, cryogenic systems, and high-pressure gases, with emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Candidates should demonstrate initiative, composure, and teamwork to support 100% successful launches. Responsibilities include fabrication from drawings, troubleshooting, and collaboration with engineers, plus site maintenance

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience performing maintenance or installation work on mechanical and low‑voltage control systems.
  • Ability to read and follow schematics or engineering drawings for fluid systems.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and install fluid system components from a schematic or engineering drawing, including valves, regulators, and gauges.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues in controls, fluids, and mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with technicians and engineers to ensure high-quality systems for launch operations.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and aerial platforms.
  • Perform maintenance tasks across vehicle integration, pad maintenance, site maintenance, and general facilities.
  • Create, maintain, and edit work orders and instructions.
  • Perform lockout/tagout procedures and fluid system configuration procedures safely.
  • Monitor instrumentation data to assess health and performance of fluid systems.
