Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Hawthorne, CA, is seeking a hands-on Supervisory leader for Starshield satellite production. You will mentor Technicians and Specialists, keep lines running, and resolve production challenges with engineering support to meet mission milestones.

The role requires leadership of a growing team, adherence to safety and quality policies, and collaboration across diverse disciplines in a high-stakes aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Lead a hands-on supervisory role for satellite production teams.
• Experience leading a medium-sized organization (10+ direct reports).
• Experience with spacecraft integration and component test.
• Strong communication and diplomacy across organizational levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience solving strategic resource management, logistics, and process problems.
• Knowledge of fluid, structural, thermal, and avionics systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a diverse team of Technicians and Specialists responsible for satellite production.
• Plan, schedule, and assign work and team leads; assess completed work.
• Maintain manufacturing lines, mechanical GSE, and HASS chambers; coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Work with engineers to plan, resource, and execute integration and test operations.
• Ensure compliance with work instructions, documentation, and safety policies.
• Monitor and approve timekeeping and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Communicate clearly with production team and leadership.
