Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA, is seeking a Lead Integration & Test Engineer for Starshield to lead a team building, testing, integrating, and launching satellite hardware. You will shape production infrastructure, drive continuous improvements across build, test, and shipping, and collaborate with design, supply chain, and mission management to meet aggressive schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics.
• 2+ years of professional design and/or manufacturing experience within aerospace, automotive, industrial, or consumer electronics industries.
• 1+ years of leadership experience leading teams, projects or people.

Responsibilities

• Define processes and build/test infrastructure to produce satellites and subassemblies.
• Support day-to-day hardware production and vehicle integration.
• Ensure safe, reliable, on-time and cost-effective satellite manufacturing with on-orbit performance.
• Improve production, automate where possible, and reduce errors.
• Maintain knowledge of satellite systems, design, schematics, operations, manufacturing, and flight.
• Grow program manufacturing capacity and capabilities.
• Identify root causes from non-conformances and drive improvements.
• Develop training to increase engineering team's effectiveness.
• Set clear goals and accountable ownership for improvements.
• Collaborate with design, supply chain, mission management, and Starshield customers.
