Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is hiring a Supervisor, Development (Starshield) to lead technicians and specialists building Starshield satellites. You will mentor a diverse team, maintain manufacturing lines, and solve production issues with engineers to meet milestones.

You will ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, manage timekeeping and documentation, and coordinate resources across shifts to keep operations running on schedule in a high‑intensity environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of experience leading teams, projects, or people.
• 2+ years of experience in the aerospace, aviation, marine, or automotive field in a technical, hands-on capacity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor Technicians and Specialists responsible for satellite production, including precision machining, development of new manufacturing methods, wire harnessing, and build & assembly.
• Plan, schedule, and assign work and team leads; assess completed work.
• Maintain manufacturing lines, mechanical GSE, and HASS chambers with preventative maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineers to plan, resource, and execute integration and test operations, balancing priorities.
• Ensure clear communication with production team and leadership; ensure proper documentation.
• Monitor and approve employee timekeeping records; uphold safety and quality standards.
