Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Satellite Policy Associate to drive regulatory and policy strategy for the new Starlink Mobile satellite network. You will work on telecommunications regulations to enable critical global coverage. Responsibilities include drafting policy documents, engaging with government officials, and optimizing regulatory frameworks.

The ideal candidate holds a Juris Doctor Degree and has over 5 years of relevant experience. This role is based in Washington, DC, and requires onsite presence with some travel.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in an engineering discipline or telecommunications.
• 5+ years of experience with regulatory and policy matters.
• Knowledge of telecommunications business and regulatory issues outside of the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing broadband and spectrum policies.
• Draft pleadings and advocacy pieces for policy promotion.
• Represent company before intergovernmental organizations.
• Support regulatory practice for U.S. licenses and compliance.
• Provide strategic regulatory advice for business development.

Skills

Understanding of broadband and telecommunications policy

Understanding of spectrum use and policies

Knowledge of radio frequency spectrum technology

Experience working with the Federal Communications Commission

Experience working with intergovernmental organizations

Education

Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school
