Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Engineering Manager for Starlink Manufacturing Engineering in Bastrop, TX. You will lead a 60+ person team across two shifts to design, build, and improve high-volume Starlink production lines, ensuring safety, quality, and rate.

You’ll own cross-functional collaboration with engineering, supply chain, and production while guiding manufacturability and continuous improvement. The role requires strong leadership in manufacturing, process development, and Lean principles, with

Qualifications

Advanced degree or equivalent with significant experience in engineering, production, manufacturing or operations.
2+ years of direct leadership/management experience leading engineers.
8+ years in engineering, production, manufacturing or operations (optional path).

Responsibilities

Manage a team of 60+ engineers and specialists on a 2-shift structure.
Lead product life cycle phases ensuring standards and requirements are met.
Develop and implement manufacturing metrics to measure and optimize productivity.
Act as technical decision maker on manufacturing techniques and test methods.
Ensure safety and maintain an excellent safety record.
Drive continuous improvement projects using data and metrics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to increase throughput and meet targets.
Recruit, develop and retain leaders and contributors, and drive cost reduction.
