Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for Solar (Starlink) in Redmond, WA to drive electro-mechanical assembly and test processes, collaborating with design to ensure manufacturability and leading prototype builds toward production milestones. You will work with high-volume production targets, tooling, automation opportunities, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective systems.

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required.
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or related experience.
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Design and implement electro-mechanical assembly and test processes.
Collaborate with the mechanical design team to incorporate design for manufacturability.
Lead prototype builds ensuring milestones for production development are met.
Ensure manufacturing systems hit high volume, cost and quality targets.
Lead facilities development, floor layout, headcount planning and material flow definition.
Identify tooling and hardware requirements and integrate them into production processes.
Identify automation opportunities and assess ROI for each.
Work with internal resources or vendors to develop and implement on the production line.
