Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Lead Hardware Reliability Engineer for Starlink hardware. You will own reliability from design through field, guiding a team to minimize failures and downtime, and communicating findings to senior leadership.

You will set strategy, mentor engineers, and coordinate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain to raise the reliability bar across product lifecycles. Strong leadership and hands-on debugging are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (EE/ME/Materials/Manufacturing).
• 2+ years in design qualification, manufacturing, hardware reliability or related field.
• 1+ year in a leadership role supervising 3+ engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team focused on hardware reliability for Starlink hardware.
• Develop reliability strategies, qualification plans, and field readiness.
• Coordinate with design, software, manufacturing, and supply chain to improve reliability.
• Perform root cause analyses and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Oversee environmental, mechanical, electrical, RF, and system-level testing.
