Job summary

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of emergency nursing practice, triage, stabilization, and high-acuity care.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and emergency medical treatment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for Emergency Services.
• Establish departmental goals, policies, and standards aligned with evidence-based practice.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Monitor quality, safety, and performance with corrective actions.
• Optimize patient flow, triage, throughput, and transfers in collaboration with care teams.
• Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, scheduling, and staff development.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with ED leadership to promote consistent clinical practice and timely escalation.
• Ensure readiness for high‑risk events and surge capacity.
• Foster safety culture, staff engagement, and continuous learning.
• Address concerns and drive timely follow-up and issue resolution.
