Job summary

MiTek Industries is seeking a production operator to operate stamping presses and related packaging equipment. You will meet daily production goals, report machine issues, and assist mechanics to ensure continuous operation. The role requires attention to safety, quality, and accurate production reporting.

Ideal applicants have a high school diploma or GED, some machine experience, and ability to read measurements. Overtime may be required to reach targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; two years of machine operation preferred; or equivalent experience.
• Effectively communicate with coworkers and management regarding work and safety issues.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.
• Read a tape measure and interpret measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate stamping presses and auxiliary packaging equipment to meet daily production goals.
• Report machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisors and assist maintenance to keep equipment operational.
• Manually pack steel components into packaging containers and mark steel lot numbers on shipping containers.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and follow all safety policies and procedures.
