Job summary

MiTek, Inc. is seeking a production operator to operate stamping presses and related equipment, ensuring safety and quality while meeting daily production goals. You will report malfunctions, assist mechanics, and manage packaging of metal components.

The role requires reading prints, using hand-tools, basic geometry, and MS Office for paperwork. Physical duties include standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Ability to perform basic geometry and measurements; read prints and schematics.
• Able to use small hand-power tools and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate stamping press and auxiliary equipment with manual and automated packaging processes.
• Meet and/or exceed daily production goals.
• Report machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisors.
• Assist mechanics to keep press/packaging equipment operational.
• Feed ribbon material into stamping dies and perform first piece inspection.
• Manually pack metal connectors and steel components into packaging containers.
• Keep waste to a minimum; inspect products and mark steel lot numbers.
• Monitor coolant and oil levels, adjust as needed.
• Ongoing inspection of products to internal quality standards.
• Complete quality and production paperwork for assigned shift.
• Attend work during scheduled shift; overtime as required.
