Job summary

MiTek Industries in Tolleson, AZ is seeking a Production Operator to run stamping presses and related packaging equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and precise production reporting throughout the shift.

Daily tasks include meeting production goals, feeding materials into dies, inspecting parts, recording lot numbers, monitoring coolant and oil levels, and assisting mechanics to keep equipment running. Reliability and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• Up to 1 year related experience and/or training preferred.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Able to perform calculations and apply geometry concepts.
• Ability to read and understand prints and schematics.
• Able to use small hand-power tools and read a tape measure with 1/32-inch increments.
• Able to use Microsoft Office Applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stamping press and auxiliary equipment with manual and automated packaging processes.
• Meet and/or exceed daily production goals.
• Report all machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisors.
• Assist mechanics to keep press/packaging equipment operational.
• Feed ribbon material into stamping dies and perform first piece inspection.
• Manually pack metal connectors and steel components into packaging containers.
• Minimize waste; inspect finished products and mark steel lot numbers on shipping containers.
• Monitor coolant and oil levels and adjust as needed.
• Ongoing inspection of products to internal quality standards.
• Complete quality and production paperwork throughout the shift.
• Attend scheduled shift and be prepared for potential overtime.
