Job summary

MiTek is seeking a production operator to operate stamping presses and related equipment to produce metal connector plates and steel components. The role requires attention to safety, quality, and accurate production reporting, with both manual and automated packaging processes.

You will meet daily production goals, report malfunctions, assist mechanics, read prints, and complete the required paperwork. The job includes physical duties, overtime when needed, and opportunities for career growth

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• Able to read and understand prints and schematics.
• Ability to use small hand tools including reading a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Operate stamping press and packaging processes.
• Meet and/or exceed daily production goals.
• Report all machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisors.
• Assist mechanics to keep equipment operational.
• Feed material into stamping dies and perform first piece inspection.
• Pack metal connectors and steel components.
• Minimize waste and inspect finished products.
• Monitor coolant and oil levels on equipment.
• Perform ongoing product quality inspections.
• Complete production paperwork during shift.
• Attend scheduled shifts and work overtime as required.
