Job summary

MiTek seeks a production operator to run stamping presses and associated equipment in a high‑demand manufacturing environment in Minnesota. You will handle manual and automated packaging, ensure safety and quality compliance, and maintain precise production reporting.

Training and opportunities for advancement are provided. The role emphasizes meeting daily production goals, accurate paperwork, and teamwork across maintenance and quality functions.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• Up to 1 year related experience and/or training preferred.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Able to perform mathematical skills including proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume; apply geometry concepts.
• Able to read and understand prints and schematics.
• Able to use small hand-power tools, including reading a tape measure with 1/32-inch increments.
• Able to use Microsoft Office Applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stamping press and auxiliary equipment with manual and automated packaging processes.
• Meet and/or exceed daily production goals.
• Report all machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisors.
• Assist mechanics to keep press/packaging equipment operational.
• Feed slit ribbon material into stamping dies and perform first piece inspection.
• Manually pack metal connectors and/or steel components into containers.
• Keep waste to a minimum and inspect finished products; label steel lots.
• Monitor coolant and oil levels; adjust as needed.
• Inspect products to internal quality standards.
• Complete quality and production paperwork for the shift.
• Attend scheduled shifts and overtime as required.
