Job summary

MiTek Industries in Tolleson, AZ seeks a skilled manufacturing technician to operate automatic equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes. You will set up stamping dies, perform tooling changes, and troubleshoot to keep production on schedule while maintaining safety. You should have a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and good communication.

Prior forklift experience is preferred. This role includes strong preventative maintenance and attention to detail, with opportunities for career

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills: Effectively communicate with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues.
• Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Comprehend job training and safety instructions.
• Computer Skills: Some PC skills helpful but not required.
• Other Skills and Abilities: Read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Set up machinery for manufacturing.
• Set up stamping dies in presses.
• Perform tooling changes according to schedules.
• Simple troubleshooting and tool and die repair to keep production on schedule.
• Perform required preventative maintenance.
• Monitor press, tooling and secondary systems for proper operation during manufacturing.
• Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is essential; may require overtime.
