Job summary

RG&T Solutions is seeking a tooling engineer to support early planning and tooling development for North American stamping operations. You will work on body frame stamping feasibility, tool design maturation, and process planning from drawings to Die GO.

The role requires 2+ years in automotive/manufacturing engineering, with experience in sheet metal tooling and proficiency in CATIA V5/V6, AutoForm, and MS Office. Strong problem solving and knowledge of Honda development processes are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering or related experience, with 2+ years in automotive or manufacturing engineering.
• Expertise in Equipment/Tool development and automotive sheet metal forming.
• Proficiency in MS Office, CATIA V5/V6, and AutoForm.
• Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of Honda’s development processes.

Responsibilities

• Supports feasibility studies for Body Frame Stamping from styling sketch to initial drawings for New Model Body in White, utilizing CAE and CAD tools.
• Leads verification and drawing maturation of stamping tools across NA functions.
• Develops tooling specifications and process plans from initial drawings to Die GO, providing technical guidance and overseeing design changes.
• Analyzes manufacturing issues, identifies root causes, recommends corrective actions, and develops specific action plans.
