Stamping & Welding Engineer
We’re looking for a motivated Stamping & Welding Engineer with a few years of experience—ideally in Tier 1 automotive—to support stamping, welding, and metal fabrication operations. This is a high‑impact, hands‑on role with a clear path to leadership for someone ready to grow quickly.
What You’ll Do
- Support daily stamping and welding operations to improve quality, throughput, and safety
- Troubleshoot production issues involving tooling, dies, weld parameters, fixtures, and equipment
- Optimize stamping and welding processes for new and existing parts
- Lead root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce scrap and downtime
- Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and tool & die teams
- Support new launches, engineering changes, and process documentation
- Contribute to automation, continuous improvement, and capital equipment projects
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in stamping, welding, or metal fabrication
- Tier 1 automotive + IATF 16949 experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of stamping dies, MIG/resistance/robotic welding, tooling, and GD&T
- Experience with problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, and process optimization
- Familiarity with PFMEA, control plans, and other IATF/APQP documentation
- Strong communication skills and a hands‑on approach on the production floor
