Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a new model project leader for North American stamping plant departments.

You will manage the standard new model flow, lead development of minor and occasional full model changes, and collaborate with design, engineering, and business teams to align specifications with manufacturing capabilities. The role requires a engineering degree and 2+ years in new model development or manufacturing, with strong skills in Microsoft Office, stamping knowledge,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) or equivalent relevant experience (Stamping preferred).
• 2+ years combined experience in new model development or manufacturing (Stamping preferred).
• Strong Microsoft Office proficiency; Stamping knowledge; project management; interpersonal skills; CATIA or CAD viewing capability.

Responsibilities

• Confirm designs by coordinating with Stamping department members and Production Engineering (PEBU) team per project direction.
• Collaborate with Design/Engineering/Business teams to ensure reflections and factory characteristics are reflected to design and manufacturing processes.
• Understand plant processes, constraints, and capabilities for stamping and feed into new model development.
• Develop project targets and action plans to ensure KPI achievement and alignment with business plans.
• Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships within Honda and with outside suppliers.
• Lead daily meetings and coordinate with project stakeholders and leadership.
• Establish, track, and report project budget and manpower status and requirements.
