University of Utah's Utah Presents is seeking a Stage Technician to provide backstage support for diverse events including dance, concerts, comedy, and opera. This part-time, per-call role varies by project and may involve operating fly-rail, follow-spot, A/V equipment, wardrobe support, stagehand labor, and stage electrician duties.
Minimum qualifications include equivalency: 1 year of higher education can substitute for 1 year of directly related work experience.

The Stage Technician is a part-time, per-call position fitting for anyone interested in providing backstage support to an exciting array of multi-disciplinary events such as dance, concerts, comedy, and opera.
This role varies by project, with technicians serving as specialists or general stagehands in collaboration with full-time staff. Responsibilities are defined by skill and willingness to learn, but may include operating fly-rail, follow-spot, audio-video equipment, providing wardrobe support, stagehand labor, and working as a stage electrician. Technicians will work across these departments.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum two years experience in theatrical or related technical fields and will be enthusiastic about growing skills in new areas. Experience may include time spent in any professional, community, educational or recreational arts production or live event field.
