Job summary

University of Utah Health's Utah Presents program seeks a Stage Technician to provide backstage support for a variety of events on campus. This part-time, per-call role attends to diverse performances such as dance, concerts, comedy, and opera.

The technician may operate fly-rail, follow-spot, and audio-video equipment, while assisting with wardrobe, stagehand tasks, and across departments. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, apply.

Qualifications

• 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and prepared for all assigned shifts.
• Operate and support fly-rail, follow-spot, and audio-video equipment as needed.
• Provide wardrobe support and general stagehand duties per event.
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the team.
• Adapt to a varied theatre schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
