Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Staffing Specialist to support recruiting, hiring, receptionist duties, and training. This role prescreens Direct Care applicants by phone and in-person, coordinates interviews, checks references, conducts background checks, and supports job fairs while maintaining documentation.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, plus six months HR recruitment or staff training experience; valid driver's license; strong communication; ability to multitask;

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and insurance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prescreen Direct Care applicants by phone and in-person.
• Coordinate interviews, reference and background checks.
• Support recruitment activities, job fairs, and onboarding.
• Handle receptionist duties and assist training during orientations.
• Track reports and maintain applicant documentation.

HR - Staffing Specialist: M-F 8a-4:30p Develop your HR Skills in this unique industry - and make a difference in our community. Our Staffing Specialist is responsible for providing support in recruiting, hiring, receptionist duties, and training. Responsible for prescreening Direct Care applicants by phone and in-person, interviewing, reference checking, background checks, job fairs, tracking reports, as well as applicant follow-up and documentation. Also responsible for receptionist duties, and facilitating safety and introductory training during new hire orientations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, Human Resources (preferred) -or a related field
• Six months work experience in HR recruitment and/or HR staff training
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, dependable vehicle, proof of auto insurance
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Proven ability to multitask
• Excellent attention to detail
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or 1/4 of own body weight, whichever is less
