Job summary

Staffworks Group, a Western New York staffing firm, is seeking a Staffing Recruiter for Skilled Trades & Construction. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire roles, focusing on passive candidates and talent pipelines to meet client needs.

Experience in construction recruiting is preferred but not required. You’ll collaborate with the Regional Manager, source via multiple channels, and ensure a high-quality candidate experience across

• 2+ years of staffing or recruiting experience.
• Experience in skilled trades, construction, industrial, or manufacturing recruiting preferred.
• Ability to build passive candidate pools and pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing through placement and onboarding.
• Source candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, ATS, referrals, networking, and proactive outreach.
• Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates based on technical qualifications and fit.
• Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Coordinate interviews, background checks, drug screens, onboarding, and documentation.
• Maintain regular communication with candidates and employees throughout hiring process and assignments.
• Partner with Regional Manager to develop recruiting strategies and promptly fill client staffing needs.
• Maintain accurate candidate records in ATS and recruiting activity.

Salary: $55,000–$60,000 + Monthly Commission

Position Summary

The Staffing Recruiter will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire opportunities across the skilled trades and construction industries. This role requires a proactive recruiter who enjoys identifying passive candidates, building talent pipelines, and partnering with the Regional Manager to meet client hiring needs.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Construction recruiting experience is preferred but not required. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a sense of urgency, and a "hunter" mentality who is eager to contribute to a growing team.

What You'll Do

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing through placement and onboarding.
• Source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, our ATS, referrals, networking, and proactive outreach.
• Source and attract qualified candidates through a variety of recruiting channels, networking, referrals, and proactive outreach. Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates based on technical qualifications, experience, and overall fit.
• Build and maintain strong talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs.
• Coordinate interviews, background checks, drug screens, onboarding, and employment documentation.
• Maintain regular communication with candidates and employees throughout the hiring process and assignment.
• Partner with the Regional Manager to develop recruiting strategies and quickly fill client staffing needs.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience while supporting clients with high-quality talent.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 2 years of staffing or recruiting experience.
• Construction, skilled trades, industrial, or manufacturing recruiting experience is preferred but not required.
• Proven ability to source passive candidates and build talent pipelines.
• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and major job boards.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
