Job summary

Castleton Health Care Center in Indianapolis is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to manage and maintain staff schedules for our clinical team. The role is essential for proper coverage and smooth daily operations in the nursing department.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced healthcare setting, with CNA or QMA certification and at least one year of relevant experience in long-term care or scheduling.

Qualifications

• We require a high school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA or QMA certification is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in long-term care or scheduling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain staff schedules (minimum 4 weeks in advance).
• Coordinate daily coverage to meet resident care needs.
• Manage PTO, holidays, and last-minute call-offs.
• Communicate schedule changes clearly to staff.
• Track time worked, attendance, and payroll accuracy.
• Support onboarding and orientation of new staff.
• Maintain accurate records and staffing documentation.
• Be available for after-hours calls (facility phone provided)
