Job summary

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (PGH) in Virginia is seeking a Staffing Coordinator-AOS III at Piedmont Geriatric Hospital to manage nursing unit staffing and schedules. Under the Chief Nurse Executive, you will input and develop staffing schedules, ensure safe patient-to-staff ratios, maintain attendance records, and perform data entry and clerical duties with MS Office.

• Data entry, typing and clerical skills are required.
• MS Office Suite is required.
• Experience in automated data systems.
• Previous staff scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent staffing schedules for all nursing units to ensure safe patient-to-staff ratio.
• Input and develop staffing schedules for nursing departments; ensure adequate staff are scheduled.
• Follow Administrative Policy 33 for attendance, scheduling rules and procedures.
• Maintain records, filing and attendance tracking under guidance of the Chief Nurse Executive.
• Demonstrate strong communication with staff and manage multiple priorities.
