University of Maryland Medical System Corporation is seeking a Clinical Nurse for UMMS Staffing (USC). The RN will provide safe, evidence-based, patient- and family-centered care across inpatient and ambulatory settings, deployed to units based on need and competencies.

Qualifikationen

• Current and active RN license in Maryland or eligibility through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).
• ACLS, PALS, NRP or other unit-specific certifications as required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent acute care nursing experience in the past 12 months.
• BSN from an accredited nursing school.

Aufgaben

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care appropriate to the patient population and acuity of the unit.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, implement nursing and medical interventions, evaluate patient responses, and document care in the EMR.
• Collaborate with patients, families, charge nurses, nurse managers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote continuity, safety, and quality of care.
• Safely administer medications and utilize clinical equipment and technology per policy and competency.
• Delegate and supervise nursing care activities per Nurse Practice Act and policies.
• Maintain professionalism, adaptability and effective communication across units and settings.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives and ensure patient safety outcomes.
• Maintain required licensure, certifications, and competencies; complete annual education.
• Support unit operations and staffing as needed, including unit-based roles.
