Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Staff Test Engineer to lead hardware and system-level test development from R&D to scalable manufacturing.

The role drives test architecture, fixtures, and automation, ensuring quality, manufacturability, and compliance across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2–5 years in hardware test or NPI environments, and proven design and deployment of production test systems.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 2–5 years experience in hardware test or NPI environments.
• Experience designing and deploying production test systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in NPD to integrate test strategies, methodologies, and design-for-test principles into product designs
• Design and deploy production test systems (fixtures, instrumentation, automation)
• Drive root cause failure analysis and corrective actions
• Define standardized test procedures and acceptance criteria
• Develop, document, and maintain test procedures and test fixtures, including automated test solutions where appropriate
• Drive yield, cycle time, and efficiency improvements
• Support the transfer of product assembly and test processes to other manufacturing regions
• Prepare and maintain engineering change notices (ECNs) and related technical documentation
