Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Staff Test Engineer to lead hardware and system-level test development from R&D to scalable manufacturing.

The role drives test architecture, fixtures, and automation, ensuring quality, manufacturability, and compliance across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2–5 years in hardware test or NPI environments, and proven design and deployment of production test systems.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
2–5 years experience in hardware test or NPI environments.
Experience designing and deploying production test systems.

Responsibilities

Participate in NPD to integrate test strategies, methodologies, and design-for-test principles into product designs
Design and deploy production test systems (fixtures, instrumentation, automation)
Drive root cause failure analysis and corrective actions
Define standardized test procedures and acceptance criteria
Develop, document, and maintain test procedures and test fixtures, including automated test solutions where appropriate
Drive yield, cycle time, and efficiency improvements
Support the transfer of product assembly and test processes to other manufacturing regions
Prepare and maintain engineering change notices (ECNs) and related technical documentation
