AMPERA INC. is seeking a Test Engineer in New York to plan, execute, and document testing for advanced systems and first-of-a-kind technology programs.

You will translate engineering objectives into executable tests, ensure test readiness, and guide the test team through critical scenarios. You will define configurations, instrumentation, data needs, and acceptance criteria, while collaborating with design engineers, operators, technicians, and safety personnel to deliver clear results, robust

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, nuclear, aerospace, chemical, controls, systems, or a related engineering discipline.
• Ability to convert technical requirements into clear and executable test methods and procedures.
• Working knowledge of instrumentation, data acquisition, engineering calculations, data analysis, and technical documentation.
• Ability to understand integrated mechanical, electrical, controls, and thermal-fluid systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, operators, technicians, safety personnel, and suppliers.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely, methodically, and collaboratively in a laboratory, industrial, commissioning, or field test environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, conduct, and document testing of AMPERA's system and first-of-a-kind technology test programs.
• Translate engineering and qualification objectives into executable test plans and procedures.
• Support test article and facility readiness and direct assigned test activities.
• Evaluate test results and prepare test reports with conclusions and follow-up actions.
• Develop test plans, procedures, matrices, sequences, checklists, and supporting calculations.
• Verify prerequisites, initial conditions, and required approvals before tests.
• Monitor test parameters and authorize holds or shutdowns when limits are exceeded.

Education
