Job summary

AMETEK Inc. is seeking a Production Technician to assemble, test and troubleshoot electronic and mechanical systems for our SEM and TEM product lines.

The role requires working with precision test equipment, reading schematics, soldering and rework, and collaborating with manufacturing engineering to improve quality in a low-volume production environment. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), 2–4 years of related experience, and familiarity with ISO 9001

Responsibilities

• Use precision test equipment to test and troubleshoot. (oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator, Data acquisition modules, etc.)
• Work with manufacturing engineering to release new products, and resolve issues that may arise
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings
• Solder and do rework on assemblies
• Provide training to others on test procedures
• Communicate clearly to other departments regarding issues
• Excellent oral and written communications skills as well as refined analytical and problem-solving abilities
