Job summary

AMETEK Level Measurement Solutions is seeking a Test Engineer II to develop and support test systems for magnetrol and drexelbrook level products. You will design and maintain automated and manual test setups, validate embedded electronics, and work with multiple disciplines to ensure performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on test development, data analysis, and continuous improvement to bring new products to market, support production, and resolve field

Qualifications

• B.S./B.E. in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with electronic product testing, validation, and lab instrumentation.
• Proficiency in LabVIEW programming.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and specs.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across electrical, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and reports for products.
• Design and maintain automated and manual test systems and fixtures.
• Perform functional, environmental, safety, EMI/EMC, HiPot, isolation testing.
• Verify interfaces (4-20 mA, HART, Modbus, etc.)
• Test radar, RF/admittance, and other level-sensing techs.
• Lead failure analysis and data-driven improvements.
• Improve testability, reliability, manufacturability, and compliance.
• Support regulatory certification activities (UL, CE, FCC, ATEX/IECEx).
• Interface with labs, suppliers, and customers as needed.
• Maintain calibration records and engineering docs.
