Job summary

Google seeks aStaff Technical Program Manager for Beam, overseeing maturation of software across stacks and form factors, ensuring high-quality releases and balanced resourcing. You’ll lead relationships with OEMs and co-development partners, drive validation and testing, and shape delivery strategies for multiple programs.

You will manage a team of TPMs responsible for release, testing, and fleet operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced product environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
  • Experience testing software on custom hardware.
  • Experience with OS and applications software release management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver software to customers and partners consistently and of high quality.
  • Maintain and cultivate external relationships with key partners, owning software delivery and quality (e.g., OEMs, co-development partners).
  • Enact a testing strategy across our software development process that maintains the highest quality bar while balancing resourcing costs.
  • Optimize on-the-ground efforts across Google and partner locations to unlock software development and delivery.
  • Manage a team of Technical Program Managers leading our release, testing, and fleet operations areas, cultivating this team to maximize their impact on the product.
